Good Eeeeevening, I took the advice of another lister to whom I regrettably cannot give credit because I forgot who you are (sorry!) and bought some Sylvania 9004 XV headlight bulbs. $11 each at Crappy Tire. (That's Canadian Tire, for those outside the Great White North) To see the difference, I only changed the right side bulb. I took out the headlight assembly, pulled the bulbs, swished some alcohol around inside to clean the reflector and the glass, and put in the XV bulb. Took me 15 minutes, including a pee break. There is a noticeable difference between the left and right sides now. Admittedly, it isn't as bright as a $200 (or whatever) conversion, and also, the difference may only be because I cleaned the lens and glass. I have taken some pictures of the amount of light the low beams put out and will put them on the web sometime. This weekend's experiment will be to JUST clean the left side lens and see how the brightness on that side improves. It may have nothing to do with the bulb... Happy motoring, --tabe johnson xtabe@yahoo.com 87 Westy
