Bob, Ron, etc;

I believe I made a post on this subject a week or two ago. After going through motor mounts, tranny mounts, new disks, machined flywheels, & you name darn near everything else in the general neighborhood, I've come to realize that the chattering in ALL THREE of my vans was caused by a worn yoke! No one ever mentions the yoke as a cause of chattering, but when I replace mine, the chattering went completely away. The surface that the TO bearing rides on should be arced, and when the yoke wears, it tends to get flattened. As you release the clutch, the flat area becomes angled, and the TO bearing rapidly rocks up and down, producing the chatter.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!
