Always remember that in the US, we pay a LOT more than that for a gallon of gas in hidden, and behind the scene costs. Its not hard to find studies that have the real cost of a gallon in the US exceeding $10. I am just sensitive to this topic as the prevailing attitude in a lot of circles is that its okay for our gas prices to go up, because other people around the world are paying more, so the US should as well, which is total crap.

The whole gas price topic is huge, but if you are busting a gut at $1.60, use the past few years to extrapolate that that by July, it will easily be around $2.35 or more, with the public excuse being "they pay over $5 in Europe,"

Sorry, sensitive subject :-)
