Subject: Disabling power steering
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed

Volks,

I lost power steering in my '85 on the way home last night... just went outside *hoping* it was a broken belt, but no such luck. Reservoir is nearly dry (It was full three days ago), so I've sprung a leak somewhere...

I's like to just pull the belt to disable the system until it is warm enough to find/fix the real problem, is there any reason this would *not* be better for the van than running the pump with insufficient fluid?

TIA,

Tim
