First remove the metal trim holding down the carpet along the sliding door opening. Then pull the carpet up, starting in front of the seat, against the far wall. You don't need to take it out, just get it off the track area and tuck it against the rear seat. Then remove the rubber mat section covering the track area between the seat and the door opening. After all that, the middle seat should slide out but watch out, the seat is pretty heavy. Bill H. 88 GL
