There should be no oil leakage associated with the water pump. By oil heater did you mean oil cooler? The square silver box with the oil filter attached? The oil cooler has a large 'O' ring behind it where it contacts the block. And they can leak, especially in cold weather when things tend to shrink. If it's coming from there, you might try removing the oil filter and tightening the big nut holding the cooler to the block. Otherwise you have to remove it to replace the 'O' ring. Although someone did recently post a method to do it without removing the small coolant lines.
