I don't have the original email, but I did print it out and save it with other list problems I expect to encounter some day.

You might email him for other details, but here's his description of the process. I could also scan the page and send it to you of you want:

1. Buy two 1/4 oz tubes of thermal conductive paste (heat sink paste) from Radioshack

2. Pull off the radiator fins (you obviously don't need to in your case)

3. Use hot water, fingernails and washcloth to remove all the old paste.

4. Use all of both tubes to liberally cover all bonding surfaces.

5. Press the fins back on, making sure to put the thermocouple back in the groove in the fins.

Total time 20 minutes Total cost $6

He reports fins nice and frosty now.
