I agree that this is a job you want to take your time with and give thought to each action. example how rusty is this project, use lots of rust buster the weeks before and each day toward the job how pitted is the head and what cleaner do you have to remove the old sealer a clean head is a good seal rotate the pushrod tubes as you torque the head so they seal well what other things should you do when you do the job

Hello all. As the subject line indicates, I am thinking of in van repair of the dreaded leaking head gaskets and exhaust gases in said cooling system. I would like those of you who have done these repairs with the engine still in the vehicle to E-mail me directly with any words of wisdom/warnings/discussion. I have been to the archive and I am well aware of the pit falls (snapped studs, stuck cylinders ect..) just want to touch base before I make the decision.
