I second that!!!

That is the way I have diagnosed nearly every CV malfunction on my vehicles.

It may be the CV giving up the ghost or it may be the bolts holding the CV in place have come loose. I have had both experiences.

It is something to get addressed before the next trip out or it will leave you stranded in the most inconvenient place at the most inconvenient time. And that equals lots of money out of the pocket!!!
