If you try to just fling the door shut with sheer momentum, you'll eventually break something. David Brodbeck, N8SRE '82 Volkswagen Diesel Westfalia '86 Volvo 240DL wagon ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------- I brought up this topic with my wife, Ruth who is the Vanagon daily driver. This is how she closes the sliding door of our 1990 mv: hold one 2 year old child in right arm, hold hand of 4 year old child and grocery bags with left hand and with third hand slides door shut and with fourth hand depresses door edge into latch and with fifth hand uses cloth to wipe finger prints off door. Oh, my wife just mentioned she also holds a diper bag with first hand. Also points out the vehicle seats 7 for a reason.
