The English professor - actually a visiting professor over from Britain to teach English Literature - was cruising through the campus in his Vanagon, a new experience for him, when he spotted a young lass whom he recognized as a student in his class, and more so from the fact she was a Cockney herself there going to school.

A weather system had just passed through and the temperatures were falling rapidly and the wind gusting. She was having a hard time keeping her skirt under control in the wind.

Being a gentleman he pulled up at the street corner where she was waiting for the light to change, and asked her if he could give her a lift. She gratefully accepted, and just as she was getting into the van a strong gust of wind caught her skirt and blew it up into her face, exposing her to the world. She quickly grabbed her garment and pulled it to where it needed to go and redfaced, climbed into the van and sat down.

The professor, trying to assuage her embarassment said to her, "Ah, Lass, a bit airy, yes??"

Totally missing the professors good intent, now very flustered and even more redfaced, she snapped " Of course it's 'airy!!! W'ot did you expect??? Feathers!!!"
