Be sure the rubber/plastic stop is installed at the front end of the track where the door guide changes direction 90 degrees on closing. If it is not there, eventually the guide is going to pound out the metal and you will have problem to try and deal with..

This stop is hard to see, but there is a little slot that the foot of the stops pops through to hold it in place. The stop itself is made with a curve to fit just right and drive that door guide in the right direction. Without the stop the guide just slams metal to metal.

Replaced mine last year. This is a cheap fix. Got mine from Camelback VW in Phoenix., AZ
