Scratching your clear coat or paint happens all the time, every time
some dumb women puts her purse on the hood of a car. Think of
it like this. Take a hand full of gravel and rub it all over the paint.
You will end up with a ton of easy to see scratches. Unless a paint
job has just been washed well and polished, there is tiny bites of
dirt, just like the gravel but miniature, that get rubbed in every time
you tough the finish.. Plain and simple NOTHING should ever
touch your finish but a wash cloth, soap and water.
