I've been losing clear coat for about 5 years on my bus. Kind of a slow peel in a few spots. I omes off like a thin, make that very thin, skin of clear plastic in my case. One exposed spot is about 8 inches across and the other two are about 4 inches. Deprnding on how the sun hits it you can either notice it or not, but I haven't noticed any negative effects except the peeling. I mean it makes me crazy, but I'm sure I'm about the only one who notices it.

My bus in Bamboo yellow which may or may not help in disguising the peeling.
