Subject: Syncro gas tank lines
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Does anyone have any ideas on replacing fuel lines ? Tank is plastic, located forward of engine, and the only line even visible is the pump feed from the bottom of the tank. All the other lines disappear forever via holes in the bulkhead.

The breather line to the filler neck is porous, as is the smaller line next to it. I believe this second line should go to an expansion tank, but it just dead-ends behind the filler cap surround - why do we need expansion tanks, anyway ? - if the tank is not filled brim full there should be plenty of expansion space in the tank itself.

Gas only leaks when I fill right up, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before other lines start to leak, - and then sod's law says the gage will quit also.

I don't really want to remove the subframe and drop the engine & transmission - any chance of cutting an access panel from above ? - and where ?
