I would suggest a google search as info is kind of spread around on a couple of sites, but the documentation is increadibly thorough.

This system was originally designed as a replacement for a carbouretor on an older vehicle (say... a bug). Over time, however, and with many peoples' participation, the functionality has expanded, and the peripheral software (tuning, datalogs, setup, etc.) has matured. It is a DIY system, so you must be willing to take on whatever risks/challenges there are with this system. There seem to be relatively few these days, as there are probably over a thousand of these units on the road, some with several years and many miles under their belts.

I don't want to sound like a preacher or anything... this is just my own optimism. I can not vouch for how it will perform in real life. Like i mentioned in a previous post, this is primarily a learning experience for me, and is just (hopefully) another source of personaly satisfaction when driving my van that is powered by the fruits of my labors....
