Kurt,

I live in Conyers, about 25 miles east of Atlanta, and never see any other Vanagons or Westies during my daily commute into the heart of Atlanta.  There are a few scattered around the northern suburbs, however.  Drove it to work today - rides better and has better heat than my 97 Toyota T100 and I sit higher than most SUV's.  A pleasant vehicle to commute in if I keep the speed around 65 mph and I get around 20 MPG to boot.

If you know of anyone looking for a nice Westy I have it FS.  Bought a TrailManor 2720SL travel trailer and no longer need it.

I am living in Savannah, GA (actually Rincon) right off I-95 and have
only seen 3 other vanagons in the 2 years I have lived here.  I thought
for sure I would see the occasional Westy or Synchro hugging the right
lane of 95.  There used to be a bunch when I was in Northern VA and the
FL panhandle.  I see these get together's happening in South Florida and
Cali and it makes me jealous!  I need to know I am not the only addict
around here that lets the "new" vehicle sit outside while my Wolfy
enjoys the cozy garage and a fun drive to work every day.
