hey,

I'm currently running a sony cd deck in our vanagon. it's pretty old and has
a hit-n-miss attitude towards "pc produced" audio (only itunes will work)
and no mp3 capabilities. 

could I just put in an amp and route an audio in plug up to the dash.  then
plug in any source I wanted, say my fisher price record player or an ipod?
