Hi all,

I'm mostly done with my 1.9TD upgrade so it's time to unload the old
blown 1.6 diesel engine, if anyone knows anyone who might be
interested in it as a rebuild project or core.

It got low on oil then made a clanking noise when it died at around
104,000 miles late last year.  Won't turn over by hand or with a
socket wrench, but there are no "ventilation holes" in the block.  I
don't know enough about engine noises to know what went wrong, my
shot-in-the-dark guess is maybe a piston seized.  I scavenged the
parts I needed to install the new engine and I've sold the injection
pump off of it.  Please email for details of what's still on it.

I'm in the San Francisco bay area, willing to deliver within a few
hours' drive.  Not looking to get much for it, depends what parts you
want on it and how far I have to drive.  I'd just prefer to get it to
someone who can use it rather than dump it at a salvage yard.

I have some other leftover 1.6 diesel parts too which I can ship,
such as a slightly used muffler & tailpipe, new remanufactured 65-amp
alternator, and new water pump.  I can send photos on request.
