I finally found the right spacers, and I've had all four centers machined. Now, I'd like to use the Audi caps, but they don't fit the machined center bore. Can anyone offer a good solution for retaining the caps? Jim, If you use spacers and do not machine the holes all the way, you may still be able to use the Audi caps. I have seen peopple use Velcro -- tacky and gets fithy dirty. I use aftermarket billet caps with set-screws. The production versions are a bit too short (shallow) for the Vanagon application. I found an outfit which makes extensions for any center cap but ridiculously priced at over $160 a set of four. With the billet caps at about $50, that makes things economically impractical. I am studying getting the center caps replicated in the Philippines. They are already making bull bumpers for me. If they can make them cheap enough, I will try to put a group purchase together.
