-----Original Message----- Of David Brodbeck If it works, they won't stifle it, they'll buy it. They have a business to run, and trust me, they're worried about what they'll do when the crude runs out too. David Brodbeck, N8SRE -------------- Clip ----------------- Simple devises and designs for products have been available to lower home heating and A/C cost by reducing fuel usage. Many of these things like thermal pane windows, additional insulation, improved heating systems, proper gasketing and sealing of homes have just come into widespread usage by home builders. Low cost energy has been the enemy of developing new and possibly better technologies. The bulk of Americans live in homes with lots of square footage built with the minimum of quality and little concern to the 20 year energy and operating cost involved. Many of the newer Automobiles are going to be crusher bait after the second owner finishes with them. The plastic parts and 'scheduled to fail' rubber cam drive belts will simply shorten their useful life. I sincerely feel that Auto Manufacturers aren't trying to build an efficient car. When I see cars like the Honda Element or the Pontiac Aztec and then the Cadillac ??? 1/2 breed truck; I can't but wonder what the auto manufacturers are going to spring on us next. Probably won't be good.
