SUVs will sell used for next to nothing just like the 1970's land yachts used to. Vanagon content: $2.50/gallon gas will make Vanagons expensive to drive. ----------------------- Clip ------------------------ I never considered my Vanagon Westy a bargain to drive other than the fact that I saved lake cabin fees when I went fishing and it was lots more pleasant to camp in than tents or pop-up, fold down towable campers. Although I logged over 180,000 miles in just over eight years the total operational cost per mile was substantially less than any other vehicle I've ever driven. If you watch the news from European countries carefully you'll see that the Europeans have taken to the Hybrid cars for rentals and personal transportation. Guess they're considered safe as long as your adversaries on your daily drive aren't Ford Excursions and giant 4 door pickup trucks.
