I had a Fram filter on my old T1 1600 bus (Bug engine w/filter mount added). I went down to a local chain and they said Fram no go no mo, so they looked up the conversion and gave me the equivalent listed.

Took it home, installed it, started the engine, went back to check for leaks. While I watched the filter the base unfolded, the filter grew by 2cm in length & oil began pouring out.

Took the filter back and got another... exactly the same happened. They couldn't understand it. But they refunded my money.

Finally I managed to find someone who stocked Fram... no more trouble. -- Andrew Grebneff Dunedin, New Zealand 64 (3) 473-8863 <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Fossil preparator Seashell, Macintosh & VW/Toyota van nut -------------------------------------- A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation.
