3. is a factory manual sufficient for learning to replace fuel
injectors, & waterpump myself?

An excellent supplement to the Bentley manual is the Haynes Manual. The
latter you get from Ron Salmon at The Bus Depot. Costs about $25. So far
as I know, the Bus Depot is the only source in the USA for the Haynes
Manual on the Vanagons. He has to import it from Great Britain.
