Shaggy Subject: o/t truck rentals...moving ok folks, how much aprox does it cost to rent a truck to drive from NY to Seattle? I have to deliver a 1957 BMW Isetta to my sister this summer, and heck having mom and sister pay for the truck, oh did I mention that I'm moving me out there at same time 3 scooters and will be towing my 82' Diesel Westy. any tips/advice for towing a vanagon that distance? ---------------- Clip ------------------ I would suggest that you contact several long distance moving companies and see if you can ship at a big discount based on the premise of 'space available'. It sometimes takes a month to get something cross country but the wait is often worth the savings. I'm not going to speculate on Truck Rental rates. My suggestion about towing your Vanagon is to load the front floor with several (about 600 pounds) of cement bags or other heavy material so the Tow Dolly will behave properly. Without the extra weight on the Tow Dolly the Vanagon tends to wander too much.

Stan Wilder
