"get up to speed and hold it there." Most people have stop-and-go commutes. It takes a certain amount of energy to accellerate something heavy, no matter how you do it. ----------------- Clip --------------------- If everybody just drove at 55 mph on our highways (18 Wheelers and Cars) our nation would use 50% less automotive fuel. This would of course mean that 55 would be about your top speed on any roadway, freeways, highways, school zones. Think about how much better your Westy does at 55 mph on it's fuel. Mine goes from 17 mpg at 70 mph to about 22 mpg at 55 and lighter weight cars do even better on the spread.
