You would have to cut the door quite a bit to put any speakers down below plus deal with the pocket. That said the area is easy to get at and work on so it wouldn't be hard. You also have a lot of room behind as the window rails and glass don't effect that area. I'd really like to make the 5.25 work in the stock area and I think I've read on the list this was done with out cutting metal.
