Also on a related note ... "re-torque the nut to 360 ft. lbs.". I have never seen a shop that actually had a torque wrench that went as high as 360 ft lbs. >> Clipped ---------------- I've always had a truck stop mechanic to torque my Axle nuts and also loosen them before I services the axle assembly. Buy a used Axle Box from Chris and just install it without any tinkering. It sure looks like you're getting some of those low quality bearings or you're using molybdenum grease and turning the needle bearing portion into bushings. Those axle bearings require just good general purpose grease. Stan Wilder |
