Hi, I'm selling this engine, I agree it is a big project but do-able, see the fast-forward automotive conversions being done up in Canada and the wiring harness plug-and -play conversion they do if you send it up (including a key id for the 2000). As this one came with the harness, ECD, some instruments, etc. it should be a reasonable project if a kit like Fast forward is used. However, like many good things VW it is costly and difficult. On the upside, if you can do a nice job think of what a great combination it is-- or just comission fast-forward to build one for you. FYI Everyone, This engine (at the minimum) will still need an instrument cluster, key reader, key and EDC needs to be reprogrammed to start and run. Be very cautious about buying a TDI engine. I'm going through TDI purchase headaches myself. -Steven Dodson Kneeland,CA "Inga" the 87 Syncro >Original message: >Date: Thu, 26 Feb 2004 09:55:12 -0800 >From: robyn rudisill <robyn.rudisill@COMCAST.NET> >Subject: did you see this. tdi on thesamba.com >http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/index.mv?alert+20040217162024332 >9 >don't look at me. not mine. >robyn |
