Don't knock the Subie conversion till you have driven one or 2 of them. I have driven and worked on quite a few and am VERY impressed with the end result. Quiet and powerful even with the 2.2. I have driven the 5 cyl conversion, the sube 2.2 the 2.5, the tiico and a few others thru the years and did not like the tiico or inline 4 (personal preference). Small Car has ben around for a long time and gets paid what they are worth. I have done business with them personally and have seen from a fellow technician standpoint what goes on behind the counter. Good shop. Just moved to a different building, but doing well and trying to get reorganized after that hassle. Daryl of AA Transaxle Duvall, WA.
