Turning at high speeds with huge cars is always a problem. T4, T5, all donīt corner well at top speed...

If you are driving that fast, improved brakes are a must, thatīs right. I have better brakes in combination with ABS. My Vanagon comes to a full stop when necessary.

I read several Vanagon collision tests, old and new ones. The Vanagon seems to be TOO stiff, but it is still safer than most (modern) japanese vans, for example. But I tink itīs important not only to see the vanagon alone, but in comparison to the middle class cars like Golfs. Vanagon versus Eurovan is a completely other situation. Golf or Vanagon? I say vanagon, although it can hurt you as good as any other car...
