I may be a bit cynical, but let's see what I'd do if *I* were an evil
oil-company executive...
- Jack up my wholesale price, 'cause other distributors are buying
from my refineries already... they'll pay more, 'cause their station
operators are all complaining that they have dry tanks due to unexpectedly
heavy demand.
or...
- Jack up my retail price, *slow* supply to other distributors,
sit on my inventory, and wait for drivers to be forced back to my (now
higher priced) product.
Whichever way I go, the people *really* getting squeezed out of
business will be the few remaining independent station operators. If it
goes on long enough, I should be able to buy them out dirt cheep!
