Jesse,

The ISCU's are known to fail. One way to check is to remove the cover from your unit and see if one or more of the components on the circuit board have overheated. The discoloration should be fairly obvious.

If you need one, I have new ($189.95) and used ($55) available.

Cheers,

Hey All... If you remember a while back.. i was having a problem with a rich running... bad idle at startup problem. I never really figured out the problem... went through all the usual trouble spots.. and well.. not fix. Upon reading the wiring diagram today for the fuel injection system... I noticed that the Idle stabilizer unit is tied in with 4 major items.. that directly affect the problems i am having. They are the Coolant Temp Sensor,Hall Sender,Power Steering Pump Switch and the Oxygen Sensor. Well ok 5... and the idle stabilizer valve. My question is this... Do the Idle Stabilizer Control Units ever go bad? I pulled mine and cleaned the terminals... and no change. Anyone had this go bad? And if so... what were the symptoms? thanks everyone, jesse 89 carat
