You can juggle those numbers. back and fourth but the relationship remains the same. What length bar with what weight applied will give you the 360 ft lbs of torque. Really sounds like you need a new stub axle and associated parts. ---------------- Clip ----------------------- The guy that has bringing the 360 ft pounds torque to my axles has a 36" long Snap-On 3/4" torque wrench. Even with me sitting in the van, emergency brakes on, my foot on the brakes and the van in gear the 360 ft pounds he applies makes the rear wheel spin on the loose gravel in his driveway. It even spins in the building on his dusty floor. I don't really think you're going to get the full 360 lbs with a two foot cheater bar. Just tighten the nut enough to get it firm, drop in the locking pin, spread the pin slightly and take the van to a mechanic with the proper torque wrench. I've never paid more than $10.00 to get these nuts tightened properly.
