James, I've had, this problem. You hit the nail on the head , with all that you state. Linkage is warn out. Lubing it up, (witch is hard enough), will stop the clicking feel, but the real fix it replacing parts. The only way I found to remove the clutch pedal is to remove the dash, and even then it is not easy. I dismantled a Van and even found it hard to remove these parts! My solution has been to live with it until it will not work at all. That was 4 years ago. Every time the Van is not driven for a few weeks, this problem seems to be worst. Go figure.... Eri
