I really wish I could ride a bike to work but there are two problems: 1. seven mile of four lane divided 50MPH highway 2. my age and the state of my health.

My daughter, who lives in The Netherlands, bikes everywhere. She did the same when she lived in San Francisco until the day a delivery truck turned left at a "no left turn" street and ran over her. once she could get around again she left her bike at home and took the bus.

I do hope we can find ways to save energy without making it harder to get around for those, like my wife and myself, who are old and/or disabled.

I remain, as always, YrLyl&ObdntSrvnt,
