Pete, ...only if you are already running Prestone orange coolant.

The VW supplied coolant for the wasserboxer is blue and says VW/Audi Liquid Antigel (antifreeze) on the bottle.

I have always used this as that is what was in the van when it was new. There is nothing wrong with going to the phosphate-free Prestone should you wish,but only after a complete coolant flush. Check first what type/colour coolant you are currently running and stick with that if you are only topping up. Different types of coolant are often incompatable if mixed...
