David,

It is not worth letting these f#@k-ups being so nonchalant about these things. I'd have caught him, and either had him pay me some $$ on the spot, or have him charged with hit-and-run. It would one more idiot calibrated. At least for a while...

Ron

Today I took the kids to the DQ to have some ice cream. Outside I can see my TriStar as clear as day. It is parallel parked, slight rain / drizzle, a few degrees above freezing, typical late winter day for Quesnel. Then I see a fellow, mid to late 40s, step into the Dodge Caravan that is parked in front of my TriStar. He starts the van, backs up and wump! My TriStar is now bouncing up and down. I immediately get up and out of the DQ and start walking as towards my truck and the fellow starts driving away. No damage to the TriStar as he hit the front bull bar square on... but he just took off like nothing happened - he didn't stop, he didn't care. I could have ran after him and easily caught up to him in the very slow down town traffic (all four way stops) but I didn't. Besides, what would I do with him once I stopped him... bad situation these days.

What would you have done in my situation?

David Marshall
