Hi John, whenever my wife and I come across towns with what appears to be no planing for sidewalks, we call them Bill Bryson moments. If you have not read his book, "The Lost Continent" do so now. His explanation of trying to go for a walk from his motel to a restaurant will have laughing so hard it will bring tears to your eyes.

It's no better up here in Canada.
