Capitalism at work ....tie up the resources needs by the public, squeeze
out the competition, and then raise prices. Sounds like the gasoline
industry.
In Alaska there is a single cracking plant for crude oil. Tesoro Oil
Refinery. All crude from the Cook Inlet Oil Fields are is processed
there. Gasoline is stored in storage tanks, then pumped via a pipeline
to Anchorage, Alaska about 100 miles away. Every single fuel company in
Anchorage gets their gasoline from Tesoro .....Shell, Exxon, Standard,
Texaco,.......you name it. One source of gasoline for all distributors.
Gas Prices there relect that lock by the oil company on the market.
