Hi Warren,

When I did my CV joints last I found that seal, mine had popped out. I just took a small soft hammer and tapped it back in. It fits and looks similar to one of those old V-8 freeze plugs.

When I pulled the transmission out of Billy Bones, it and the engine were covered in oil and dirt and lots of grease. So I took the tranny to a car wash and cleaned it thoroughly. Yesterday I went to drain the old tranny fluid out in preparation for my Redline MT90 only to find a leak. Whoa, that Redline costs too much to dump in and watch it leak out.

It appears to be leaking where the stub axle connects to the transmission housing. Is there a seal back there that can be replaced without too much trouble, or am I going to need to pull the tranny back out? Please say no to the latter :(
