TK, That's exactly what it was. One of the front dual filament bulbs was defective. Removed both front bulbs and everything is fine. Identified the one faulty bulb, installed the good one and all is well.

You have the right VW part number Lar, for the relay-- This all started when you changed the bulb's?? I think you might---( easy fix anyway ) a dropped filiment, or one of the filiment's touching on one of you front turn signal bulbs---which would make the juice back feed into the other side of the lights.
