For me, it was the rear hatch lock extension. Using this gizmo, when camping, to prop open the hatch slightly, as well as having a front window or the pop-top screen open, introduces fresh air into the van, keeping the interior's temperature well below that of an iron ore smelter. Having the ability to lock the hatch in this position provides a moderate level of security as well.
