OK Eric, I've owned a 81 westy gas, am 86 sycnro westy 16" diesel, and now my 91 syncro westy with carb. I've driven many other vans too and my Carbed 91 syncro has been to the Dead Sea in Jordon (below sea leverl) over the Swiss Alps, through the Egyptian desert and over the Alberta Rockies. NEVER missed a beat - other van problems, but no carb problems. I've had a Solex, and now a Weber, (better) and it runs FINE. OK, now Eric, I'm sure that you know what you're doing and talking about, AND it is just your good fortune that I may be headed through Pittsburgh this summer in July. So if you invite my wife and me to camp in your driveway, I'll LET! you drive my van (Keeping in mind that it is a fully loaded syncro westy) to see/feel the carb difference. To take the carb challenge :-) OK??????? Malcolm __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Search - Find what you’re looking for faster http://search.yahoo.com |
