OK go to http://briefcase.yahoo.com/mwstebbins and click on the Muir VW Timing folder, there are several pages there. These are GIF files, If you can not read them let me know. Please report your findings. Like you, I'm guessing that timing is not your problem. Start a=with the easy stuff, plugs, wires, points, compression, fuel supply, and then the harder stuff: all of the EFI sensors. Malcolm
