thanks again raimund!!   LD5T Starblue metallic it is..  '89 wolfsburg only 
color...  thanks for clearing this up!! :<)  
as for the paintcode sticker, the 80-84 vanagons have it under the drivers 
seat, the 85 up have it under the dash..at least thats how the US import vans 
were labeled..
