I'm trying to help another list member get the power window mechanism out of his vanagon. He's been at it since yesterday, still no luck as far as I know.

It seems that all his problems stem from the fact that something is catching the sliding pillar and not allowing it to tilt forward. He seems to have checked everything. Should it tilt forward, or does it slide bottom-forward to allow the motor to escape out the hole.

I haven't done it in months and I don't remember the procedure.

Thanks,

Jim
