The only stock diagonal stripes I've seen in an A2 Golf or Jetta are those
of the 1989 16v Jetta "Helios"   Special paint (looks different than the
Vanagon dark blue to me), color matched 15" BBS wheels, color matched
mirrors, striped Recaro interior.  Pretty desirable.  Only 1500 sold in the
US.
