Subject: Billy Bones- Back on the High Seas!
Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

By the Powers! Ole Billy Bones left dry dock at approximately 3:00 pm Central Standard Time. Smooth sailing, I'll say! Took 'em out fer a 20 mile shake down cruise and he's ready to run like an antelope. Engine's running quiet and smooth, but I think his timing still needs a little tweakin'. Lookin' forward to running up this first 500 miles just to get another chance to drain that oil! Can't change it often enough, that's what I always say.

Got Billy out on the Interstate for about 5 miles, ran him up to near 55 for a while. That crow's nest I got from Gary Lee seemed quiet enough! I kinda fear'd that thing would do a little singin' of its own! But no, it was quiet as a dead man.

Now ole Billy looks good too! This here time in dry dock didn't hurt him a bit, no! Why he's sportin' new Sa alloys, that crow's nest (that some calls a safari basket), SA grilles so he's a smilin' brightly! He's always a ladies man, ole Billy. Saw some hippie-type lady in a white GL and she took a hard look! Made ole Billy blush, yessiree it did!

Now Billy's ole tranny gears is still a singin' so I'll be weighin' the alternatives, but from here none of them looks too good. But, we'll walk that plank when we get to it. In the meantime, me and ole Billy is gonna celebrate with me ladyfriend, maybe have a grog o' rum or two. I'll be sure to toast you all!

Thanks be flowing from the bottom o' me 'art to each and ever one of you lubbers. Couldn't a dunnit without you, no sir, couldn't a dunnit!

Warren Lail 88 Westy "Billy Bones" (back on the high seas!) 87 GL
