Subject: Intermittent stalling???
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="ISO-8859-1"

I have had the car towed 3 times, every time it gets to the mechanic and will start!!!  I have done the fix for intermittent syndrome soldering a capacitor within the AFM.  New battery is in.

Symptoms:  85 camper van dies, just shuts off, while cruising along, never at a stop.  Has happened in second, third, and fourth gear.  It may go 3 to 4 weeks between stalls.  The quickest it has restarted has been about ten minutes, usually more like several hours to days.  There is plenty of power when it cranks but no go!!!!!!  Runs fine then when it restarts and who knows when it will happen again.

Baby is coming in may so I would like to diagnose and figure out what it is so I won't fear going anywhere with the child and getting stuck.

I currently keep my bike in there that way I won't get stuck!!!

What else should I be checking?? Electrical?? Fuel????

Andy
